How do I manage my wordpress website?

Login

To manage your Wordpress website (add/edit/delete pages or blog posts) you must first login to your Dashboard. Do this by visiting http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/. The page should look like this:

Blog Posts

Adding Blog Posts
Click on the "Posts" item on the menu. Then click "Add New". On the following screen you are given the ability to type the title of your new blog post, type the content of the blog entry, and also assign categories to your blog post, you can select from the categories that are already there, or add new categories to the site. Note that new categories will become new menu titles.



Once you have entered all the required information to write a blog post, click the "Publish" button. This will add the blog entry to your website.

Editing Blog Posts
To edit a blog post select the "Edit" item under posts on the menu. Then select the post you wish to edit by clicking on its title. Editing an existing blog post is very similar to adding a new post except you are modifying content that is already written. Refer to the Adding Blog Posts for more information.

Deleting Blog Posts
To delete a blog post select "Edit" from the menu under posts, then instead of clicking on the title as you would if you were going to edit the post, simply hover your cursor over the post title. Four links should then appear. Click "Trash" to delete the post. Confirm your actions as required.

Web Pages

NOTE: Editing pages may cause undesirable effects. You may be charged if Simplificare has to repair any code broken by edits you have made.

The steps to Add, Edit or Delete web pages are all the same as adding, editing, or deleting blog posts, except you are modifying pages instead of posts. There are also no categories associated with pages.
